Oranjewoud expands global platform through the acquisition of French Antea SA

Gouda, 2 October 2009 - Oranjewoud N.V. reached an agreement on the acquisition of the French environmental engineering and consulting firm Antea SA.
Antea, which employs around 400 people, is one of the market leaders in France and specializes in environment, water, energy, infrastructure, soil remediation, (industrial) safety and waste management. The company has offices in mainland France, the French overseas territories and Africa.
"With this acquisition we will reinforce our international position in the areas of the environment, energy, safety, water and sustainability, in one of the biggest countries in the European Union", Gerard Sanderink, Director and main shareholder of Oranjewoud says. "It will also strengthen Oranjewoud’s position in the global market, because of Antea's presence in Africa and other countries."
Kris Van Malderen, Oranjewoud's director of the Environment & Safety Division in the Netherlands, Belgium and France, adds: "Antea is one of the leading brands in France. With this acquisition we further increase Oranjewoud's position as a quality focused consultancy and engineering firm, working with international clients and institutions.
"This strategic co-operation will give us access to new clients, but it will also enable us to provide our present clients with global environmental services," says Jean-Philippe Loiseau, Antea’s CEO. "Not only because we can benefit from the experience and knowledge of the group, but also because of Oranjewoud's determination to grow internationally. Combined with the real expertise that we have already acquired abroad for years, it is a huge opportunity for Antea's development. This will definitely strengthen our position on the French and international market."
The acquisition is in keeping with Oranjewoud's plans to develop further services for international clients.
