Course - Digging out waste and environmental rules

It all seems so well organized in terms of legislation. There are rules and laws for everything. Unfortunately, however, it all too often turns out that there are no cut and dried answers for every practical situation. If this sounds familiar, then this is the course for you!

The course has to do with practical situations. We dig out the environmental rules with you: What do they say precisely and which of them are important for your work? This course will facilitate answers to these and other frequently posed questions.

Insight and overview

Environmental regulations are treated in such a way during this course that attendees gain knowledge (both insight and an overview) of the regulatory framework and can assess which body of regulations they will encounter in their work on this basis. Moreover, after the course they will be able to judge which people/entities (internal and external) are of significance (answer to the question: 'Whom must I contact in which case?').

In addition, it is easier to evaluate where one's own tasks with respect to environmental regulation end and where the tasks of others begin. Finally, attendees learn to find solutions in cases in which the regulatory framework offers no specifics and how to create the foundation for decision-making.

Target group

The course is intended for those who deal with waste materials and the environment in their jobs. This target group includes not only government staff, but also employees of contractors. Examples might be: specification drafters, designers, supervisors and employees in management positions (government authorities) and calculators, (major) executors and company directors (contracting firm).

Structure

The course material consists of a bundle of legislation and a syllabus. The syllabus has been developed by Oranjewoud and encompasses an extensive series (approximately 60) of diagrams and step plans for dealing with waste and environmental regulations in practice.
