EVOA course
On February 1, 1993, the 'EC Regulation on the monitoring and control of transporting waste materials within, to and from the European Community' was established. In this EG regulation, generally referred to as EVOA for the sake of brevity, the transport of waste materials across borders was stipulated as subject to international rules in most cases.
The fact that EVOA has come into effect has a number of implications for the transport sector. For instance, its structure is completely different from the 'Regulation on the inward, outward and through transport of hazardous materials' and the number of materials subject to EVOA has risen considerably. Moreover, a range of procedures has now been established for the transport of waste materials within, to and from the European Community.
Different parties
Oranjewoud has developed a course on EVOA. The course is intended for different parties who deal with the regulation as part of their daily routine: companies and organizations within the transport sector, authorities charged with enforcement, etc.
Structure
The structure and procedures of EVOA are dealt with in this course in a manner so as to facilitate their practical application. The following topics are included:
- History and background of EVOA;
- Status of EVOA;
- Relationship between EVOA and national legislation and regulation;
- Community provisions (return of waste materials, caution money, illicit trade);
- Procedures;
- Forms and documents;
- Authorities.
The course is conducted by experienced Oranjewoud consultants.
Course duration
The standard course is offered in a one-day or two-day version. The course duration may be altered according to the client's needs. In all cases, an optimum balance between theory and practice is the goal. At the request of the client, specific practical cases can be dealt with (provided this is indicated early enough and that sufficient information has been provided).
Course location
The course may be given at a client's site as well as in any of a number of Oranjewoud offices (please refer also to Organization/Offices on this site).
