Management
Oranjewoud has mapped all the activities involved in public space management. This model, the management sphere, is the point of departure for all our initiatives and consultancy in this area. This is how we safeguard the mutual coherence of our different sub-projects.
The central focus in this model is on the systematic management of all aspects of public space: green areas, water, roads, street lighting, cleaning, buildings, public art, etc. With systematic management meaning, in our vision: first figuring out what you want, then checking how you can achieve that as best as possible, and finally properly evaluating the end result. This cycle is the core of the management sphere. An integral approach, with plenty of attention for mutual coherence of the different aspects, is the key to success here.
What can Oranjewoud do for you?
Many years of working with various clients and business relations, and staying up to date on the latest developments, have made Oranjewoud an expert in public space management.
Spearheads and lines of development
We have clustered our consultancy and services under six spearheads. These can be considered the lines of development along which a management organisation develops.
Our management software forms the basis of our approach. This handy software supports the modern manager in all his activities and work. Ranging from registration to policy decisions, from budgeting to management information.
Next up is the basic demand for up-to-date information. As soon as that information is available, the need for technically rational planning and budgeting will automatically arise. And that is also when there will be a need to make quality-related decisions and involve administrators and residents. Administrators are facing ever changing issues related to urban design, and the use, social and economic aspects of the public space. And finally we also have to decide on what kind of organisation we want to be, which requires focusing on core business by assuming a directing role.
