Spatial Planning
RO-advies: your guide to spatial planning
Space is scarce in the Netherlands, many different parties lay claim to pieces of the space, and legislation complicates matters even further. This context provides the setting for spatial planning projects. A structured process is essential, with both relevant knowledge of the matter at hand and good process management playing key roles. Our Spatial Planning Consultants put their extensive expertise at your disposal when drawing up spatial plans and studies. Our consultants can also provide support to ensure smooth progress in the interactive side of the process and in planning procedures.
Bringing order to ever more dynamic and complex environments
Designing solutions for the limited available space in the Netherlands is a very tricky business. Due to the increasing numbers of claims to land for residential development, agriculture, infrastructure, recreation and nature, but also due to the space needed for the flood protection necessitated by climate change. People want to have a say in spatial planning issues, and private parties are investing and participating in the decision-making process. And to top it all off, the creation of good quality spatial solutions has become a spearhead of government policy in this area.
Procedure Management
But we at Oranjewoud also see opportunities: a clear decision-making process, transparent communication, fewer procedural risks, increase of support and a streamlined process.
We focus on the development-driven deployment of planning instruments, i.e. we go all out to complete procedures as best as possible. We do not consider spatial planning as an obstacle, but rather as an instrument used to design our living environment. As part of this planning process we provide clearly outlined products. These can be structure visions, environmental impact reports or zoning plans.
